Mouse & Keyboard Skills — start here
Before children begin the Year 1 computing units, these quick games build the hands-on skills they need to use a computer: pointing, clicking, dragging and dropping, and finding keys. Each one is a pair game — take turns at one computer. No reading needed.
Play in this order
Start at the top and work down — each game adds a new skill.
1. Move & Point Point
Move the mouse so the pointer touches each star. Pointing practice with no clicking yet.
Play →2. Single Click Click
Move the pointer and click to pop the bubbles — they get smaller, so aiming matters.
Play →3. Click & Drag Drag
Press and hold each food, drag it to the robot’s mouth, and let go to drop it in.
Play →4. Build a Picture Drag+
Drag shapes onto their outlines to build pictures that grow from two pieces to five.
Play →5. Build a Computer Drag+
Drag each part — screen, keyboard, mouse, base unit, speaker — to where it really belongs.
