Question 1

Is Mousecalls Data Logger free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is completely free with no login and no download. It runs in your browser.

Question 2

Do I need sensor hardware?

Accepted Answer

No. It uses the device's own microphone as a sound sensor, the camera as a light sensor (by measuring brightness) and device motion as a movement sensor, so no probes are needed. You can also type readings in by hand, and a demo sensor lets you try it with no permissions at all.

Question 3

Is my audio recorded or uploaded?

Accepted Answer

No. The microphone is used only to measure the sound level on the device. The audio is never recorded, stored or uploaded — only the loudness number is kept, and it stays in your browser.

Question 4

Can I export the data?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can export your readings as a CSV spreadsheet (for Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers) or save the graph as a PNG image. You can also save named logs and reopen them later. Everything stays on your device — nothing is uploaded.
