Question 1

Is Mousecalls Code Editor free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It is completely free with no login and no download. It runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded, so classroom work stays private.

Question 2

Which languages can pupils use?

Accepted Answer

JavaScript, HTML and CSS run instantly with nothing to install. Python also runs in the browser; the first time it is used it downloads a Python engine, which needs an internet connection once.

Question 3

Is it suitable for beginners?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It opens in a simple Beginner mode with one file and a big Run button, and error messages are rewritten into plain English. Older pupils can switch to a full multi-file project.
